AT&T TV NOW Briefly Advertised a $5 Movies Extra Add-on

AT&T TV NOW logoFor some time now DIRECTV has offered a $5 a month Movies Extra add-on that offered access to 9 channels. Yesterday for a brief time the Movies Extra add-on was offered to AT&T TV NOW customers. Now though it seems that AT&T has removed this package from the AT&T TV NOW website.

With this $5 a month add-on you get access to Crime+ Investigation, Hallmark Drama, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, HDNet Movie, MGM HD, MTV Live, ShortsTV, and the Smithsonian Channel.

Update: Several readers have reported that AT&T chat agents have added the Movies Extra to their AT&T TV NOW service. If you want the add-on try asking for it with a chat agent

Here is how AT&T describes the add-on:

Get your movie fix with classics and favorites from MGM, Sony Movie Channel, and HDNET Movies. Discover new mysteries with Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama. Stream shows like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman on Hallmark Drama, newly added to Movies Extra Pack. Enjoy the latest from Crime & Investigation, Smithsonian Channel, ShortsTV, and MTV Live. All ready to stream on any device.

This could easily be a glitch as The Hallmark Channel is not offered on AT&T TV NOW but this package offers two other Hallmark Channels. This could mean this advertisement of the Movies Extra add-on could have been a short term glitch with AT&T.
