AT&T TV Launches a Twitter Account & Makes Fun of Its Name

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime video

AT&T TV will launch sometime this month, and it now has an official Twitter account and is even poking fun at its own name. Still no official launch date, but reports are starting to say it will likely launch the week of the tenth. However, other reports are saying it might launch early.

AT&T TV is built on the AT&T TV NOW backend using the same AT&T TV apps but is a very different service. Just like how DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW had similar names but different packages, rules, and features as will AT&T TV and AT&T TV NOW.

AT&T TV starts at $59.99 a month and requires a two-year contract with some hidden fees.

Here is how AT&T described AT&T TV before the site was taken down:

AT&T TV is our newest television experience that puts you in control. With access to live TV, thousands of titles on demand, 500 hours of Cloud DVR, and access to other apps like Netflix and Pandora, AT&T TV is your one-stop shop for all things entertainment.* AT&T TV comes with our 4K-enabled next-gen device and voice remote with the Google Assistant built-in.

*Req’s separate subscription/login for Pandora & Netflix. Cloud DVR recordings expire after 90 days. Viewing in 4K req’s 4K TV and separate 3rd-party subscriptions. Check provider for 4K internet requirements.

We will have to wait for the official launch of AT&T TV.
