AT&T Says HBO Max Will Be Different From Disney+ & Apple TV+

Recently Apple and Disney have been pushing forward with their new streaming services. AT&T also has a new streaming service in the works called HBO Max but has been far more quiet about its plans. But now, AT&T’s CFO John Stephens said in an interview with Deadline that HBO Max will be “different” from what others like Apple TV+ are doing.

When John Stephens was asked about Apple TV+’s announcements this week he replied saying that HBO Max is “much different than what was talked about by some of the other” streaming companies.

Exactly how HBO Max will be different from Disney+ and Apple TV+ is unknown. We do know HBO Max will include a huge catalog of back content from WarnerMedia, including content from HBO. There will also be original programming created exclusively for HBO Max. According to reports, HBO Max will cost about $15 a month. Other than that, we just don’t know a lot about the service right now.

AT&T says they will hold an event this fall to announce additional details about HBO Max ahead of its Spring 2020 launch date. So we will likely be left wondering for sometime exactly how HBO Max will be different.
