The $16 to $17 price with HBO may be a decent deal but reports are this new service will also include ads. Recently during AT&T’s earnings call AT&T announced that they would hold a press event sometime in September or October to announce the new WarnerMedia streaming service.
One thing AT&T has going for it right now with this new service is the huge collection of movies and TV shows WarnerMedia has access to. This huge catalog of movies and TV shows, much of it not streaming on any service right now, could be used to build up the new WarnerMedia streaming service.
There has even been talk of a free ad-supported version of AT&T’s new WarnerMedia service. This free version would not have all the content the paid version would offer but will give you the ability to watch a collection of WarnerMedia content for free with ads. There has even been talk that AT&T will include some HBO content in one of the multiple paid versions of the new WarnerMedia streaming service. For now, though we will have to wait and see what AT&T announces this fall.
