AT&T Customers Can Get Up to $7,500 in Class Action Lawsuit – Here is How to Claim It

AT&T, one of the nation’s largest telecommunications providers, has reached a $177 million settlement to compensate customers impacted by two significant data breaches between 2019 and 2024. The agreement comes as part of a class action lawsuit filed against the company, addressing the exposure of sensitive personal information that left millions of customers vulnerable. The settlement aims to provide financial relief to those whose data was compromised in the incidents, which were publicly disclosed in March 2024 and July 2024.

The first breach, announced in March 2024, exposed a wide range of personal information, including Social Security numbers, names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, passwords, and birthdates. This extensive leak raised significant concerns about identity theft and fraud among affected customers. The second breach, revealed in July 2024, involved the exposure of data related to telephone calls, including call durations. While less extensive than the first, this breach still posed risks to customer privacy, as it provided insight into communication patterns.

Under the terms of the settlement, customers affected by the first breach may be eligible to receive up to $5,000 in compensation, while those impacted by the second breach could receive up to $2,500. Customers who had their personal data exposed in both incidents may qualify for compensation for each breach, depending on their specific circumstances. The amount awarded to each claimant will vary based on the extent of the harm caused by the data leaks.

To file a claim, affected customers must submit their claim by November 18, 2025. AT&T has partnered with Kroll Settlement Administration to notify eligible customers via email from attsettlement@e.emailksa.com. The email includes a class member ID, which claimants will need, along with their email address, AT&T account number, or full name, to complete the process. Customers who are unsure about the legitimacy of the email or have questions about the settlement can contact Kroll at 833-890-4930 or submit inquiries through an online contact form provided by the settlement administrator.

A final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for December 3, 2025. However, customers should be aware that even after court approval, the distribution of funds may take time. The settlement underscores the growing challenges telecommunications companies face in safeguarding customer data against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. For now, affected AT&T customers are encouraged to act promptly to secure their share of the compensation.
