Earlier this week, we learned the Apple TV app was available to download on Nvidia’s Shield TV line following its appearance on the Chromecast with Google TV. And now, it looks like the app is more widely accessible to Android TV devices in general. 9to5Google reported on the app’s general availability and we’ve since confirmed it by successfully searching for and installing the app on our Android TV-powered TiVo Stream 4K.

Prior to this week, Apple’s streaming app was available on select Android TV and Google TV devices, including the Chromecast with Google TV and certain smart TVs from manufacturers like Sony and TCL. At the time, a wider rollout to more Android TV devices was slated for the coming months.

The expansion onto Android TV devices makes sense as Apple gears up for season two of its hit show, Ted Lasso. The sophomore season is set to premiere on the streaming service on July 23rd. Beyond that, of course, subscribers have access to a number of other shows and movies, including For All Mankind, The Morning Show, and Servant.

Apple also has a slate of summer programming on deck, including Lisey’s Story, a miniseries based on a Stephen King novel, which is scheduled to debut on June 4th.
