Apple TV+ is Postponing Production on Season 2 of ‘The Morning Show’

The Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show is taking a two-week break from production in direct response to spreading fears over the coronavirus pandemic. Much of Hollywood is starting to react by some form of preventative measure and this is the latest demonstration.

Apple and the show’s studio Media Res made the joint decision to put production on this temporary hiatus as a proactive measure and not in correlation with any definite harm.

“In concert with our dedicated partners at Apple, we have concluded it would be prudent to take a two-week hiatus to assess the situation and ensure the safety of the incredible people who make this show,” said Michael Ellenberg, Founder and CEO of Media Res.

This isn’t the first affect COVID-19 has had on Hollywood. Recently, CWs Riverdale halted production after a production member came in contact with a carrier of the contagious virus. Talk shows including “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” and “The View,” have suspended live studio audiences for indefinitely, as have late-night shows taped in L.A. and New York including Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon to name a few.

The pandemic is spreading all over the country, and Apple is not immune.
