Apple TV+ Extends One Year Free Trial Offer

Apple TV + Logo

Good news for everyone who signed up for the free year of Apple TV+ that came with the purchase of new Apple hardware – Apple is adding some extra time to your free trial.

9to5 Mac first reported on the extension, sharing that any Apple TV+ subscription set to expire between now and June will now be extended to July 2021.

Apple has already extended the free trial period once, back in October. At that time, the trial was extended through February 2021. At that time, Apple announced that it would reimburse customers who were already paying for the service, in form of credits.

If you’re currently using the Apple TV+ free trial, you should be notified of the update in an email sometime in the next couple weeks. 9to5 Mac confirms that Apple will once again be offering credit refunds for paying subscribers as well. Apple TV+ subscribers paying for a monthly plan will receive a $4.99 store credit for the trial extension period of February through June. Credit refunds will also be offered to Apple One bundle subscribers, covering the $4.99 cost of Apple TV+.

With your extended Apple TV+ free trial, be sure to check out the new second season of Dickinson, the Cord Cutters News reader favorite Ted Lasso, the first season of For All Mankind before the second season premieres on February 19, and the upcoming film Palmer on January 29.
