LG introduced smart TVs with the Apple TV app at CES in January. The company is now launching the Apple TV app on compatible 2019 LG Smart TVs in over 80 countries.

LG owners will be able to easily launch the Apple TV app to subscribe to Apple TV+. These LG Smart TV owners will also be able to use Apple TV channels to subscribe to premium video services directly from the Apple TV app, along with accessing their iTunes video library and having access to a TV and movie rental collection with over 100,000 titles available.

LG says their line of TVs offering a cinematic experience with the best picture and sound on the market. “With a wide range of titles available in Dolby Vision, the Apple TV app is an ideal match for LG’s TVs,” the company wrote in an announcement.

LG’s 2019 TVs also have support for Apple AirPlay 2, allowing users to mirror content from iPhones, iPads and Macs directly to their TV. Also supported is Apple HomeKit, which lets users easily and securely control their TV with the Home app on their iPhone or iPad or by voice using Siri, enabling them to power on or off, change volume, switch inputs and more.

“LG continues to offer the best home entertainment experience through technological innovations that support the delivery of high quality viewing and user convenience,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Home Entertainment Company. “By bringing the Apple TV app and Apple TV+ to even more TV models, we are once again demonstrating our determination to meet consumers’ needs and add value to our products.”
