Apple TV+ Announces Lineup of Kids’ Shows Premiering This Fall

Apple TV+ announced today two new kids’ series, “Doug Unplugs” and “Stillwater,” which will premiere this fall alongside award winning kids’ programming on the streaming service.

Doug Unplugs will premiere Friday, November 13. The series is based on Dan Yaccarino’s “Doug Unplugged” book series and follows a young robot named Doug who unplugs while the other robots plug in for their daily downloads. Doug explores the human world, and with his best friend Emma, experiences its wonders firsthand.

Stillwater will premiere Friday, December 4. In this series based on the Scholastic book series “Zen Shorts” by Jon J Muth, siblings Karl, Addy and Michael learn life lessons alongside their next door neighbor, a panda named Stillwater. Through his example, stories and gentle humor, Stillwater gives the children a deeper understanding of their feelings, as well as mindfulness tools that help them face their own day-to-day challenges.

Along with the two new shows, Apple TV+ will bring “Ghostwriter” back for a second season beginning Friday, October 9, and will premiere a second season of “Helpsters” on Friday, October 16.

Other kids’ programming on Apple TV+ includes Sesame Workshop, series from Peanuts,  the upcoming “Fraggle Rock” series from The Jim Henson Company, and a newly imagined original series based on the stories and illustrations of Maurice Sendak.

Apple TV+ is available on the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices, and on the web at tv.apple.com for $4.99/month with a 7 day free trial.
