Apple TV+ Adding Jane Goodall Inspired Series ‘Jane’ to its Kid-Friendly Library

A new straight-to-series order has been announced at Apple TV+, this time adding to its family-friendly slate. Jane is a Live-Action and CGI blended series that educates kids on the concept of endangered species. The series will be produced with J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment, and the Jane Goodall Institute at the helm.

The series will focus on Jane, a 10-year-old girl with a big imagination. As the Apple TV+ description reads, “Through pretend play, Jane and her trusty teammates work to protect an endangered animal in each mission-driven episode because, according to her idol, ‘Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.’”

“Television programs that enrich and inspire, as well as entertain, can give children hope and motivate them and their families,” Goodall said in a statement. “That’s why I’m thrilled that Apple TV+ and Sinking Ship Entertainment will work with the Jane Goodall Institute to develop a new children’s program that will do just that.”

Apple TV+ is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung, LG, Sony and VIZIO smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and at tv.apple.com, for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
