We’ve known for a while now that Apple’s revamped Worldwide Developers Conference, WWDC, would take place on June 22nd, but the company has shared more scheduling details, including a keynote address set for 10am PDT. And while the conference understandably focuses on software development, Apple’s been known to discuss new hardware during the event — and with a rumored next-gen Apple TV reportedly ready to go, WWDC could be the most likely launch platform.

The company didn’t share details of exactly what would be discussed at the keynote, but we’ve seen a series of rumors suggest a new Apple TV model is ready for release, with Apple tipster Jon Prosser suggesting Apple could release it at any time. Beyond a new Apple TV, other rumors suggest the company could discuss shifting its Mac computers away from Intel chips to focus on its own ARM-based processors.

With virtually all major tech events in recent months shifting plans due to COVID-19, this year’s WWDC has also adopted an online-only approach. That includes the keynote, which will be streamed via the company’s website, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, among other options.

Even if we don’t hear about new Apple TV hardware later this month, we should still learn more about the software side of Apple’s TV endeavors. WWDC is a chance for the company to showcase all the upcoming updates and features coming to its various operating systems, from iOS to macOS to tvOS. In any case, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the company leading up to June 22nd and we’ll be sure to share all the latest announcements as soon as we hear them.
