Apple Reshuffles Leadership at Apple TV+

Back in 2019, Apple launched a subscription TV that was meant to take on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. The service has released some critically acclaimed shows and movies, but Apple TV+ hasn’t had the same subscriber success as Paramount+ or HBO Max, for example. Now Apple is reshuffling the leadership over at Apple TV+.

According to the website Statista Apple has 25 million paid Apple TV+ subscribers but 50 million on free promotions. Paramount+ currently has about 46 million paid subscribers, and HBO Max will have 70 million subscribers in the 4th quarter of 2022.

Many have wondered how long Apple will pour money into Apple TV+ if it doesn’t see a substantial jump in subscribers. Now according to a report from The Business Insider, Apple has changed up the leadership of Apple TV+ by putting VP of Apple Music Oliver Schusser in charge of the Apple TV+ service.

Schusser joined apple back in 2004 at first overseeing iTunes in Europe. In 2018 he was put in charge of Apple Music and launched Apple Music Radio, Apple Music Replay, and other features Apple Music subscribers use today.

At this time Apple has not confirmed the leadership reshuffle plans.
