Apple Reportedly Wants to Bundle Apple TV+, News+, & Apple Music

Apple TV + LogoToday Bloomberg reported that Apple is reportedly considering bundling Apple TV+, News+ and Apple Music starting in 2020 as it tries to gain more subscribers. This comes from sources who point out that Apple included a provision that would let Apple bundle News+ with other subscription services.

Currently, Apple’s News+ service costs $9.99 a month, Apple TV+ costs $4.99 a month and Apple Music $9.99 a month for the base subscription. For all three you would be paying $24.97 a month and Apple is reportedly hoping that if they bundle the service they could get more subscribers helping to drive up revenue.

Apple TV+ is facing strong competition from Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, and more. Apple TV+’s costs are low, but its lineup of content is also just a fraction of what the competition offers. This has left many to wonder if spending the few extra dollars for Disney+ or Hulu is a much better deal. This bundle may be an effort to try and keep Apple TV+ subscribers after their free year of service ends in late 2020, giving Apple more time to build its original content on Apple TV+.

Bloomberg did not disclose any pricing for this new service, but getting this bundle under $20 could likely help Apple dramatically increase the number of subscribers to its streaming services.
