Apple Music Classical is Now Available on Android

Android users who are classical music fans are in for a dulcet treat. Apple Music Classical is now available to download on Android devices via the Google Play Store. This comes ahead of its launch on iPads and Macs.

Apple Music Classical is a companion app to the Apple Music app. Its audio library contains a wide variety of different renditions of classical music, mostly focusing on Western classical pieces. The Classical app is intended to create a more visible space for classical music in the streaming music era.

Users can organize their personal libraries by composers, different works, and by recordings in addition to creating playlists dedicated to certain albums or artists. Apple states, “The entire Apple Music Classical catalog is available in the highest audio quality (up to 192 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Lossless). You can also access thousands of tracks in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.”

Apple Music Classical is included with most Apple Music plans. Students can get both for $5.99 per month compared to a regular Individual plan costing $10.99 per month. Family plans start at $16.99 per month and each member with access to the account can create their own personalized Apple Music Classical library. The Voice plan, totaling $4.99 a month, is excluded from Apple Music Classical.

Here’s how to get Apple Music Classical on your Android device, as outlined by Apple:

Apple Music Classical doesn’t let users download songs for offline listening. Instead, you can add classical songs to your Apple Music account to listen to anywhere.
