Apple Has Officially Retired iTunes Replacing it With Apple Music, Apple Podcast, & Apple TV Apps

Today Apple made it official that they are replacing iTunes with three new apps Apple Music, Apple Podcast, and Apple TV on Mac. The Music app looks similar to iTunes, without the extra features. Podcasts will also look similar to the podcast section we’ve been using with iTunes. And here’s what you’ll see in the Apple TV app.

In a press release, Apple shared that users will still have access to their entire music library in the Apple Music App. The iTunes Music Store will still be active for those who want to purchase their music.

4K HDR playback with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is being added to MacOS. Apple promises that you’ll have great sound, right from your Mac’s speakers.

For syncing iPhones or iPads you will be able to do it directly inside the MacOS in the sidebar under Finder.

So far, we haven’t heard any updates on iTunes for Windows.

This is breaking news that we will update shortly.
