Android TV is Getting an Updated Play Store But Still No Dedicated Play Pass Section

Last week some Android TV devices started to receive an updated Google Player Store. If you don’t have Android TV, the Google Play Store is where you will find all the apps for your Android TV streaming player.

Now 9to5Google has confirmed with Google that the new Android TV Play Store will be rolling out to Android TV users over the next few weeks. This is great news for Android TV fans as the newly updated Google Play store is a vast improvement over the older version. Now you will find new sections like “Start Streaming” and “Movie Night Starts Here” that are meant to help Android TV owners find new apps.

Sadly for Android TV owners won’t have a dedicated section for the new Play Pass service from Google. With Play Pass, you pay a monthly fee to get access to a vast catalog of apps. You can still use apps from Play Pass on your Android TV, but sadly, you won’t find any dedicated section for the Play Pass apps.
