An Important Update on the Future of Cord Cutters News

man cutting cable cordNext month will be the start of my seventh year as a cord cutter, and that move led to the launch of Cord Cutters News. My goal at the beginning was to offer a positive look at cord cutting. It was not that long ago that most cord cutting news coverage tried to write cord cutting off as something that just happened in your parents’ basement.

Over the years, we have added staff and office space to help keep up with the growth of cord cutting. That growth has led to the addition of faces you know and love, like Jess, Becca, Tmera, and others. I have never been more confident that cord cutting will continue to grow and Cord Cutters News will continue to grow with it. However, I have decided that the time is right for me to step away from the site.

Today, I am excited to announce that the Cord Cutters News’s website has been sold to Red Ventures. Their team is just as passionate about cord-cutting as all of you and excited to take the site to the next level in the coming years.

Over the next few weeks, you will see my role change. I will no longer be working on the site like I used to and will soon step away from the site altogether. Don’t worry. Jess, Tmera, and other new faces and names, like Philip, will be here to bring you the news coverage you expect. The things you have always loved about Cord Cutters News – the breaking news, the great deals, our guides to saving money – aren’t going anywhere.

It has been a great honor to get to know many of the readers who visit the site. I have also enjoyed working alongside some of the best people I have ever worked with. I appreciate this great community we have built. Now I am excited to see that the best days of Cord Cutters News are in the future as I step away for new challenges and to let some great people take the site to the next level.

Thanks for your support. I look forward to what is to come.
