AMC Launches Two Streaming Services for Comcast Xfinity and Flex Customers

AMC Networks expanded its streaming video offerings Wednesday, adding two new services, AMC+ and WE tv+. Both are currently only available for Comcast Xfinity and Flex customers.

AMC+ is a service for original series from AMC, along with content from sister networks including Sundance TV and IFC. The service includes an ad-free linear network as well as early premieres and on demand content. The price of this bundle will be $4.99 per month, to match the current price of AMC Premiere, which is being replaced by AMC+.

WE tv+ will include programming from WE tv and the Urban Movie Channel (UMC). The service will also cost $4.99 per month.

While the services are only available for Comcast customers for now, AMC says both will be offered to other providers as well.

“Comcast has always been a valued partner, particularly in the launch of AMC Premiere, a pioneering ad-free service. With these AMC+ and WE tv+ bundles, we build on that partnership in service of our fans on both the innovative Xfinity X1 and Flex platforms. We’re confident that Xfinity customers will appreciate the value, convenience and quality of these new offerings,” said Josh Reader, president of distribution and development for AMC Networks, in a statement.
