Amazon’s Audible Audiobook Service Now Offers a Cheaper Annual Membership

Audible is an Amazon-owned audiobook service that lets you buy digital audiobooks. You can also subscribe to be an Audible member to get discounts on audiobooks. In the past, your only option was a month to month membership for 1 or 2 books at a time. Now Audible offers a yearly membership that lets you save at least $30 vs a traditional monthly membership.

With this new $149.50 yearly Audible membership you can get 12 audiobook credits at once and 2 Audible Originals every month. In the past, you would have spent more and only gotten 1 credit a month for $14.95 a month. ($179.40 a year) Amazon also offers a Platinum Annual plan for $229.50 a year that offers 24 credits worth 24 books. This works out to a $45.90 savings vs the $22.95 a month plan with 2 books a month. The Platinum plan works out to be $9.57 per credit and can offer huge savings compared to buying 24 separate audiobooks.
