Amazon’s Alexa Now Understands & Speaks Spanish in the United States

Amazon Alexa

Amazon has announced U.S. customers can now access Multi-Lingual mode on their Echo Alexa devices, meaning you can now talk to her in Spanish. App developers can now start building skills for Spanish speaking customers, and Alexa has a brand new Spanish voice with local knowledge and more. U.S. customers can now switch back and forth between “Español” and English via the Multi-Lingual Mode. So Alexa will understand and respond to you in whichever language you talk to her in, just as a bi-lingual person would.

Multi-lingual mode will also be available in Indian English and Hindi in India and Canadian English and French in Canada.

As for music, listeners in the U.S. can now access a lot of new Latin playlists as of today, featuring popular artists like Bad Bunny, dance music like salsa and bachata, and reggaeton artists including Ozuna, Nicky Jam and Sech.

Will you be using the new Spanish mode in the U.S.? Let us know in the comments.
