Amazon Will Stream Their Original Shows on YouTube

TransparentIn an effort to help grow an audience for their original shows, Amazon Video has put them on both YouTube and Facebook. Amazon is hoping that by offering a free episode to their original shows it will help drive more viewership to these original shows.

Amazon is not the first company to put their content on YouTube for free. Hulu has long put the first episode of their new original shows on YouTube in an effort to try and drive subscribers to their HBO NOW service.

Amazon Video is also putting at least one episode of their original shows on the Amazon-owned streaming service Twitch—all in an effort to grow Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.

Currently Amazon Prime Video is sitting in second place for subscribers behind Netflix but it has a huge lead over Hulu. Amazon seems dedicated to growing their streaming service to help grow their Prime Streaming Service.

The shows available on YouTube include “The Man in the High Castle,” “Bosch,” “Transparent,” and “Tumble Leaf.” You can find a full list of the shows over on Amazons Video’s YouTube Page.
