Amazon, who has recently laid off thousands of workers and is cutting down on costs, is now shutting down their global online bookseller, The Book Depository

The giant online book retailer posted a note this week that it will be closing its virtual doors April 26 after operating for nearly two decades.

“From all of us at Book Depository we want to say ‘thank you.’ Delivering your favorite reads to you since 2007 has been a pleasure,” the note read.

People will still be able to place last minute orders until about midday on April 26, and orders will continue to be delivered up until June 23.

Acquired by Amazon in 2011, The Book Depository sold over 20 million books and delivered them worldwide, free of charge. The company shipped thousands of books every single day to more than 120 countries worldwide, from fulfillment centers both in the U.K. and Australia.
