Amazon Prime Adds a Ton of Classic Movies to Its Lineup

Amazon’s Prime Video service has quietly been building up a great lineup of titles for its steaming service. The goal here seems to be to counter the argument that there is never anything good to watch on Amazon. At one point that was a well-earned complaint about Amazon Prime Video. Yet a lot has changed recently.

So let’s take a look at how Amazon Prime has worked to address this complaint over the last few years.

One of the ways Amazon has moved to counter that argument is by getting rights to classic movies. Recently Amazon added the well-regarded classics Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz to its lineup.

Amazon has also been quietly adding more recent classics such as The Terminator Movies and the Indiana Jones movies along with other well-loved movies such as Top Gun, Beetlejuice, and The Passion of The Christ.

Love more recent movies? Amazon has been hard at work on that also adding movies such as CREED, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Iron Man.

Add in Netflix originals such as The Man in The High Castle, American Playboy, and Bosch to the lineup and maybe it’s time to give Amazon Prime a second shot.

Have kids? You will find Amazon Prime Video to be the exclusive location for many Nickelodeon shows. You can also find full access to many PBS kids shows. You will even find classic kids shows such as Popeye.

Although Amazon Prime may not be right for everyone, it has definitely been working hard to try and be a better service for cord cutters.
