Amazon Plans to Release a ChatGPT Competitor Soon

Amazon, a long-time leader in AI with its Alexa service, has recently found itself competing with a new and very popular AI chat software called ChatGPT. Now Amazon is working to reassure staff that they have a plan and will be releasing their own response to ChatGPT soon, according to The Washington Post.

These AI chatbots offer a lot of personal experience that other older AIs do not. Now instead of just a set number of questions and responses, chatbots offer a more fluid personal experience with a wider range of responses and abilities.

Now Amazon is telling employees in an all-team meeting that soon Amazon will release their response to ChatGPT soon. Though they stopped short of saying exactly what that will look like.

Google and Microsoft have already released a competitive version of ChatGPT for different levels of reception from the general public.

The question now is what exactly will be this response to ChatGPT. Many have speculated that Amazon will use Alexa to build its own more powerful AI. Though according to The Washington Post, some employees are skeptical about Amazon’s plans.

The race to build the AI of the future is heating up. Everyone has ideas about what this new AI should do and how powerful it should be. The question now is what limits should we put on these AIs and how should they be governed. For now, no one seems to have an answer to these questions.
