Amazon Offering Free Instant Rental With Purchase Of Some DVDs And Blu-Rays

Want to own the physical copy of a movie but also want to watch it tonight? Amazon now has you covered! If you buy a select DVD or Blu-Ray a free copy of the movie will be added to your library as a 48 hour rental.

The down side is it comes in standard definition quality. Hopefully Amazon will allow you to pay the difference to watch it in HD but that dose not seam to be possible right now.

To receive this promotion:

  1. Purchase an eligible DVD or Blu-ray disc.
  2. Once your order has been completed, a standard definition Amazon Instant Video version of the applicable title will be added to Your Video Library as a gift with your purchase of the qualifying DVD or Blu-ray disc. If you purchase the qualifying DVD or Blu-ray disc as a pre-order, you will not be able to watch the Amazon Instant Video version until the applicable DVD or Blu-ray disc is released.
  3. The Amazon Instant Video video may be either the rental version of the video or the version available for purchase from Amazon Instant Video. If it is the rental version, this will be indicated in the Disc+ On Demand offer description on the detail page of the qualifying DVD or Blu-ray disc.
  4. You will receive an email with information about the Amazon Instant Video version of the video. Follow the link in the email and return to Amazon Instant Video for instructions on viewing your video.
  5. You can choose to either watch the Amazon Instant Video video in your browser window, download it to your PC or TiVo, or watch it on your TV with these compatible devices.
  6. Unless otherwise noted above, your rental will expire 48 hours after you begin watching or 30 days after your disc purchase, whichever occurs first.
