Amazon Now Offers 1 Hour & 3 Hour Delivery Options on More Than 90,000 Products

Amazon has introduced new ultra-fast delivery options across the United States, offering one-hour and three-hour shipping for a selection of products to meet growing customer demand for speed in online shopping. The initiative positions the company to better compete against instant delivery platforms like Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats by providing quicker turnaround times on eligible items.

More than 90,000 products qualify for these accelerated services, with items clearly marked on the Amazon website and mobile app. A special filter allows shoppers to browse only those available for one-hour or three-hour delivery, and a dedicated online storefront highlights the fast-eligible selection. These products are fulfilled from Amazon’s existing same-day facilities, leveraging the company’s established logistics infrastructure to enable the faster speeds without requiring entirely new infrastructure builds.

Pricing varies based on membership status. Prime subscribers pay $9.99 for one-hour delivery and $4.99 for three-hour delivery. Non-members face higher fees of $19.99 for one-hour and $14.99 for three-hour options. The one-hour service covers hundreds of cities, including major metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., along with smaller locations like Des Moines, Boise, and American Fork. The three-hour option reaches over 2,000 cities and towns nationwide, broadening accessibility significantly.

This move revives and expands Amazon’s focus on rapid delivery after earlier efforts. The company previously operated Prime Now for one-hour shipments starting in 2014 before phasing it out in 2021. More recently, trials of 30-minute delivery occurred in select cities like Seattle and Philadelphia late in 2025. Internationally, Amazon has pushed quick commerce boundaries with 10-minute grocery services in parts of India since 2024 and 15-minute promises in the United Arab Emirates starting last October.

The new options build on Amazon’s ongoing emphasis on enhancing Prime value through faster fulfillment. Executives have emphasized addressing customer needs for time-sensitive purchases while utilizing operational strengths in warehousing and transportation. The rollout aims to provide greater convenience for everyday essentials and other goods, reinforcing Amazon’s position in e-commerce amid rising expectations for immediacy in online retail.
