Amazon Music Launches Podcasts

Amazon Music announced today the launch of podcasts in the US, UK, Germany, and Japan. Now offering over 70,000 shows on the platform, Amazon Music subscribers will be able to listen to podcasts like Crime Junkie and Revisionist History, along with some all new projects from DJ Khaled, Dan Patrick, Will Smith, and more.

Amazon Music will also be the exclusive home of Disgraceland, a podcast that brings together true crime and music, with episodes focused on some of the music industry’s craziest criminal stories.

“Our customers’ listening habits are constantly evolving, and we know they’re looking to us to provide them with a rich experience rooted in music and entertainment,” said Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music. “With this launch, we’re bringing customers even more forms of entertainment to enjoy, while enabling creators to reach new audiences globally, just as we’ve done with music streaming. Podcasts, paired with our recent partnership with Twitch to bring live streaming into the app, makes Amazon Music a premiere destination for creators.”

Subscribers can listen to podcasts with the updated Amazon Music app, on the web, or with Amazon Echo devices. Podcasts are now available to stream on all tiers of Amazon Music at no additional cost. Learn more at amazon.com/podcasts.
