Game night just got a lot more fun after Amazon reimagined Luna, its cloud gaming platform. Amazon made waves last month after it was announced that Luna would be relaunched with a focus on living-room-friendly, quick party games and easier access for Prime Members.

Luna redesign is highlighted by GameNight, a curated collection of local multiplayer titles that use phones as controllers with a rotating library of 50+ games included with Prime and a new Luna Premium tier for blockbusters. Instead of the traditional cloud gaming that is targeted to hardcore players with PC-quality streaming and expensive controllers, Amazon is taking a different approach. The company is turning the difficulty of getting into gaming down to easy mode, everyone in the household can play.

“GameNight takes even further the idea of easy access that’s core to the new Luna, delivering a collection of incredibly fun and approachable games that absolutely shine when played together with friends and family,” says Jeff Gattis, general manager of Amazon Luna. “Anyone with a smartphone can dive right in and have a blast, regardless of their gaming abilities.”

What’s New With Amazon Luna

For the GameNight launch, Amazon has 25+party-style, local multiplayer titles developed to “bring friends and family” together, including:

Beyond the GameNight titles, Prime members get access to 50+ games, including Hogwarts Legacy and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and other recent hits and indie favorites. The new Luna Premium tier replaces the previous Luna+ offering ($9.99/month), giving players access to an expanded game library and bigger blockbusters, including EA SPORTS FC 25Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Batman: Arkham Knight. Existing Luna+ subscribers won’t need to take action to migrate.

For those who prefer a traditional gaming experience, Amazon is offering a Luna Controller + one free month of Luna+ (new subscribers) for $69.99. The savings don’t stop there, you can also bundle the Fire TV Stick 4K with a Luna Controller for $99.98.

“Prime members are going to love GameNight and the reimagined Luna,” says Jamil Ghani, vice president of Worldwide Prime. “Prime has always been about delivering exceptional entertainment alongside savings and convenience in a single membership, and we’re excited to make gaming more accessible for families to play together with no special device needed. The enhanced Amazon Luna is equally fun for the expert gamer or someone playing for the first time.”
