Amazon Just Updated Alexa on Older Fire TVs & Fire TV Sticks

Today Amazon started to roll out a 5.2.6.6 update on older Fire TV models including the 1st and 2nd gen Fire TVs and Fire TV Sticks. With this update, it brings the new Alexa interface that was first introduced with the Fire TV Cube to the older Fire TV devices.

This update was first spotted by AFTVnews.com and for the most part, brings a more visual experience to the Fire TV Alexa support. There are a few new features hidden deep down in this update. For example, there are a few new functionalities like the ability to ask what movies are currently playing in local theaters. You will also find more options when asking Alexa to play music on the Fire TV.
