Amazon Is Updating the Fire TV Stick With a New Remote

Today Amazon announced that they will be updating the Fire TV Stick by adding a new remote. This new remote will add the ability to control your TV’s power and volume like the remote that launched with the Fire TV Stick 4K. The best part is starting at around Noon Eastern today you will be able to order the Fire TV Stick with the new remote.

The best news is the Fire TV Stick will still be sold at just $39.99 even with the new remote. The new remote will begin shipping to customers in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and India on January 23. This is the first time the Fire TV Stick and Alexa Voice Remote are available for purchase together in Canada.

Amazon is also offering 50% off the new remote while supplies last. The new remote with the ability to control your TV is only compatible with the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV (3rd Gen, Pendant Design).
