There are a growing number of streaming services that want you to subscribe to them, but what is the most popular? Recently Cord Cutters News surveyed over 1,000 of our readers to find that out, and the rustle surprised us.

According to our readers, Amazon Prime Video was the most popular subscription streaming, with 70.8% of our readers paying for it. Netflix followed Amazon at 61.5% and Paramount+ at 52.3%.

Here is a quick list of the top on-demand subscription services.

Amazon seems to have been helped by the number of Americans who already have Amazon Prime for free shipping but also happen to use its video services. The integration of Amazon Prime into the Fire TV, one of the most popular streaming players sold, also likely helped its subscriber growth.

What is maybe most surprising here is Paramount+ is in 3rd place ahead of Disney+, HBO Max, and Peacock. It seems that Paramount has found something that works with its combination of original programming, live feeds of local CBS, and live sports.

Peacock at only 5.6% is another surprise here as it has been given away to many Xfinity internet customers but hasn’t caught on yet with cord cutters.

This list of the top 10 services is only a fraction of the on-demand services, both free and paid. The question now is, will all of them make it? It has been discussed for some time now that there are more services than the market can support. For now, we will have to wait and see what services rise to the top and what services drop down the list and struggle to get subscribers.
