Amazon is Launching a Free News App on The Fire TV & Fire Tablets

Today Amazon announced that they have partnered with a growing number of news outlets to launch a few news app for the Fire TV and Fire Tablets. This new app will offer free short news clips from top providers according to Amazon. You will be able to customize the app to show content only from the categories you care about. The new news app will also come with autoplay allowing you to enjoy a custom-curated lineup of news programs.

Amazon says this new news app will appear on your Fire TV home screen with the title “News.” You won’t need to download anything as it will come built-in to all Fire TVs. You will also be able to ask Alexa to just “play the news” to access the new free news app.
