Amazon is Adding Sling TV to Its Grid Guide on The Fire TV

One of the best features of the Fire TV is its grid guide that combines services like Pluto TV and Philo into a single channel guide. With Philo for example, if you add it as a live source all the Philo channels appear in the Fire TV channel guide meaning your OTA antenna, and other services like Pluto TV will all show up in a single channel guide. Earlier this week Sling TV started to show up in the Amazon Live grid guide on the Fire TV though when you try to use it you get an error message saying this feature is not yet available. Typically, this means Amazon adding a new service to the grid guide.

Recently Sling TV partnered with Tivo to add Sling TV channels to the grid guide on the new Tivo streaming player. This allows you to have Sling TV channels alongside channels from other services. Now it looks like Sling TV is doing the same with Amazon’s Fire TV allowing the Fire TV to combine Sling TV with the Fire TV recast giving you the ability to have OTA TV and Sling TV all in a single guide on the Fire TV.
