Amazon has Fire TV Apps and More to Help You Stay Informed this Election Season

Amazon Alexa

With so much going on in the country right now, Amazon is making it easy for you to stay in the know on political news this election season. Between having your own personal assistant (Alexa) to making access to news apps and podcasts a breeze with Fire TV and Echo Dot, here are some ways to stay politically informed.

Tune in to breaking news and political commentary – Check out Amazon’s free news app on Fire TV devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and compatible Fire Tablets. It’s a customizable news experience that lets your select topics and outlets you care about most for personalized news feeds. Just say, “Alexa, play the news” to stream from ABC News Live, CBS News, Bloomberg, Reuters, and more.

Set up Routines to include news briefings – Set up a Routine on Echo devices timed to morning coffee and listen to daily news briefs or your favorite political podcast to effortlessly stay informed about the latest poll standings and breaking news. Learn how to set up Routines here.

Activate News Notifications for your preferred news outlets – Users can receive notifications on top news stories from NPR or Fox News on Echo devices. These notifications are short summaries of important news stories of the day that can connect to longer content if preferred to learn more. To get started just say, “Alexa, enable news notifications for NPR.”

Listen to your favorite political podcast – You can also listen to political podcasts like NPR’s Left Right & Center or Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie through TuneIn on Echo devices. Simply say, “Alexa, play Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie on TuneIn.”
