Amazon Delays Shipments of Their New Fire TV Edition Smart TVs

Back in May Amazon announced that their Element Electronics new line of 4K Ultra HD smart TVs powered by the Amazon Fire TV Edition would go on sale in June. This is the first 4K smart TVs featuring Amazon’s Fire TV experience built in.

The smart TVs come with a Voice Remote with Amazon Alexa and available in four display sizes, the new Element 4K Ultra HD Smart TV – Amazon Fire TV Edition are available for pre-order starting today on Amazon.com. Pre-order customers will receive a free AmazonBasics Ultra Thin Indoor HD TV Antenna – 35 Mile Range ($14.99 value), while supplies last. In-store availability will begin in June at authorized retailers nationwide.

Now it seems that Amazon has delayed the shipment of the Element Fire TV Edition TVs. Amazon first announced that the new TVs would ship next week on June 14. Now AFTVnews has reported that Amazon has pushed the release date back to June 27. Customers who have already pre-ordered the televisions are receiving emails from Amazon with updated arrival dates ranging from June 30 to July 4. If you had pre-ordered a smart TV Amazon has automatically applied a $30 credit to the account of everyone who had their orders delayed.
