Amazon Channels Adds Epix to Its Lineup

fire tv stickBeen thinking about trying Epix’s new subscription streaming service? Now you can subscribe to Epix through Amazon Channels letting you manage your payment right from your Amazon account.

Epix costs $5.99 a month and offers a 7-day free trial so you can test out the service. With Epix, you will get access to a huge catalog of movies and original programs. Amazon has added one warning that “many EPIX movies become available as part of a Prime membership within 90 days.” So if you are willing to wait you may be able to watch some but not all of the movies on Epix through your Amazon Prime membership.

“Epix has always been committed to reaching consumers wherever and however they want to watch content,” added Epix executive VP and general manager Monty Sarhan. “We’re incredibly excited that Epix Now expands our national footprint through new partnerships and allows Epix fans to continue to watch the shows they know and love anywhere, anytime.”

The standalone Epix app is currently available on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, Google Play, and now on the Roku and Fire TV. (Note: Roku already had support for Epix through the Roku Channel but now it has a standalone Roku Channel.)
