Acorn TV is set to premiere an ambitious and important collaboration with TED, titled Acorn TV X TED: Transform Your Thinking, on November 25. This six-episode series will feature curated TED Talks, each episode focusing on themes such as “How to Live a Better You,” “The Art and Science of Love,” and “Climate Action, Now!”
The series boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including:
- Susan David: Psychologist and author, known for her work on emotional agility.
- Greta Thunberg: Renowned climate activist advocating for environmental action.
- Chris Hadfield: Former astronaut sharing insights from space exploration.
- Esther Perel: Relationship therapist exploring modern love dynamics.
- Helen Fisher: Anthropologist specializing in the science of love.
- Wendy Suzuki: Neuroscientist discussing the impact of exercise on the brain.
- Alex Honnold: Professional rock climber known for his free solo ascents.
- Dan Buettner: Explorer and author focusing on longevity and Blue Zones.
- Giulia Enders: Medical doctor and author of “Gut,” exploring digestive health.
- Robert Waldinger: Psychiatrist leading the Harvard Study of Adult Development.
This collaboration marks a new direction for Acorn TV. Traditionally known for its international dramas and mysteries, the network is looking to offer content that delves into personal development and global issues. Don Klees, Senior Vice President of Programming at Acorn TV, expressed enthusiasm about providing audiences with content that inspires deeper reflection and curiosity.
