ABC Announces a New Streaming Service Called ‘Localish’

ABC is recognizing the number of millennials that have cut the cord, and who watch most of their content on mobile devices. The company has launched a new brand called ‘Localish’ which focuses on local content, created specifically for a generation that spends more time searching, communicating, and watching content on their phones.

You can expect to see a series based on the people, places, and things that make America’s cities great.

ABC is covering all the bases to get their new content to millennial audiences. Viewers will be able to watch on the network’s website, mobile apps, streaming devices, Facebook Watch, YouTube, and Twitter.

The series More in Common has already made its online debut. The series about strangers looking beyond their differences and making connections has already gotten millions of views on Facebook Watch. The show has over 100,000 followers.

Three other series will be introduced with the official launch of Localish this week. Secretly Awesome will take viewers to hidden gems around each city. My Go-To will feature locals showing off their favorite local hangouts. Worth the Wait will explore spots that have gotten popular and find out If they’re worth spending time in line for.

Other shows in the works will explore food, travel, and fitness.
