A New OTA TV Network is Launching From Fubo

FuboTV, a leading sports-centric live TV streaming platform, is making its mark on traditional television. The company announced today that its owned and operated linear network, Fubo Sports, will be distributed on over-the-air (OTA) stations in over 100 markets across the United States. This expansion includes major markets such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, bringing Fubo Sports to more than 12 million traditional TV households.

Fubo Sports is already available as a FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) channel on Fubo and most other free ad-supported streaming platforms. Now, with the addition of OTA distribution, the network is accessible to a wider audience, including those who rely on traditional television for their sports and entertainment content.

The network’s programming features a variety of sports content, including live events, topical shows, and award-winning documentaries. Fubo Sports is a prime destination for combat sports fans, broadcasting select live boxing and MMA events, as well as content from leagues like Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), ProBox TV, and The Professional Fighters League (PFL). The network also offers programming from other popular sports, such as the World Poker Tour.

“In today’s connected and competitive media market, it’s important to reach consumers everywhere they are, whether that be through streaming or traditional platforms,” said Pamela Duckworth, head of Fubo Studios. “While cord-cutting is continuing to accelerate, there are still millions of American households who rely on OTA for sports, news and entertainment. Expanding distribution of our owned & operated linear Fubo Sports network to OTA stations maximizes accessibility for consumers while also creating a new revenue stream for Fubo.”

Launched in 2019, Fubo Sports streams over 600 live sporting events each year. This expansion onto OTA television marks a significant step in the growth of the network, broadening its reach and providing more opportunities for viewers to access its diverse sports programming.
