Now there have been news reports floating around that Amazon will announce a new Fire Stick and maybe even also announce a new Fire TV box next week.
Some evidence is starting to back up the idea that a new Fire TV Stick and new Fire TV Box are coming next week since both are coming soon. Amazon and other retailers have recently had big sales of the Fire TV and Fire Stick in what looks like an effort to clear stock.
Now the Fire TV and the Fire Stick are both out of stock on Amazon, and there is no in stock date listed for the Fire Stick. Amazon even went as far as to remove the Fire Stick with voice remote from their Amazon Fire TV page.
All of this is typical behavior for a company getting ready to release a new updated device. It is incredibly difficult to sell an older device once the new device has been announced.
What we can confirm is that a new Fire TV Stick has cleared the FCC and is likely already in production. Beyond that all we have are rumors and hints that are leading many to believe that if not next week maybe in the first week of October we will have new Fire TV devices.
