T-Mobile announced a significant refresh of its 5G Home Internet service today, introducing faster speeds, cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 hardware, and expanded customer perks while maintaining the same pricing structure that has made the service popular among cord-cutters and rural residents.
The updated lineup, set to launch on November 13, positions T-Mobile as the first fixed wireless access provider in the United States to deliver Wi-Fi 7 gateways to consumer households. The new hardware promises improved range, lower latency, and better handling of multiple connected devices, addressing common complaints about home networks struggling under the weight of streaming, gaming, and remote work demands.
Three tiered plans will replace the current offerings. The entry-level Rely Home Internet remains priced at $35 per month with AutoPay and an existing T-Mobile voice line, delivering essential high-speed connectivity for budget-conscious users. The mid-tier Amplified Home Internet, now $45 per month under the same discounts, receives a substantial performance boost with median download speeds reportedly 30 percent higher than the Rely tier, paired with the new Wi-Fi 7 gateway for smoother multi-device performance.
The flagship All-In Home Internet plan, priced at $55 per month with qualifying discounts, bundles the fastest available 5G speeds with the Wi-Fi 7 gateway and an extensive package of extras valued at over $480 annually. Subscribers receive Hulu and Paramount+ streaming services at no additional charge, along with the TechEdge Suite that includes a guaranteed gateway upgrade after three years of service, a mesh Wi-Fi extender for whole-home coverage, advanced cybersecurity protection, and round-the-clock live video tech support for smart-home devices.
All plans continue to carry T-Mobile’s five-year price-lock guarantee, excluding taxes and regulatory fees, and eliminate annual contracts and equipment rental charges that plague traditional cable and fiber providers. Customers also retain access to T-Mobile Tuesdays, the weekly giveaway program that has distributed everything from free coffee to concert tickets since its inception.
New subscribers switching to any T-Mobile 5G Home Internet plan between November 13 and the end of the promotional window will receive a virtual prepaid card worth up to $300, providing immediate savings to offset installation or early-termination costs from previous providers.
The enhancements extend to T-Mobile’s small-business internet service on the same date. The All-In Small Business Internet plan mirrors its residential counterpart in speed and hardware but substitutes Microsoft 365 productivity software for the consumer streaming perks, catering to the needs of entrepreneurs and remote offices.
With these changes, T-Mobile continues its aggressive push to redefine home broadband, leveraging its nationwide 5G network to deliver cable-like speeds without the traditional headaches of wired internet service. The combination of faster hardware, locked-in pricing, and layered benefits may prove difficult for competitors to match as the holiday shopping season approaches and households reassess their connectivity expenses.
