Football has arrived, and fans will get a closer look at the 2025 NFL Offensive Player of the Year in a new documentary streaming on Prime Video. Saquon, a feature-length documentary about the electrifying Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, premieres on Prime Video on Thursday, October 9.

Executive produced by Martin Scorsese, the documentary focuses on Barkley’s journey throughout his 2,000-yard season to and Super Bowl victory in his first season with the Eagles. Footage from the documentary spans five years, showcasing the ups and downs of Saquon’s career.

Off the field, the documentary will explore Saquon’s role as a father, husband, and friend. From contract disputes with the New York Giants, his former team, and injuries he had to battle through, fans get an inside look beyond the field of the All-Pro RB.

Saquon is set to stream on the same night as the Eagles and Giants clash on the gridiron in a Thursday Night Football matchup on Prime Video. Since 1933, the Eagles and Giants have been one of the NFL’s most heated rivalries. With 186 total meetings, the Eagles lead all-time 96-89-2. Barkley and company swept Big Blue in both of their 2024 matchup.

Drafted by the Giants with the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Saquon hit the ground running. He was the 2018 NFL Rookie of the Year and a three-time Pro Bowl selection (2018, 2022, 2024). He became the ninth member of the prestigious 2,000-yard rushing club with 2,005 yards in 2024. On his way to becoming a champion in Super Bowl LIX, he rushed for 2,504 combined yards in the regular season and playoffs, breaking Terrell Davis’ long-standing record. For his efforts, he was voted by his peers as the #1 player of the NFL Top 100 of 2025.
