5 Things to Expect from YouTube TV in 2019: Fire TV, Markets, Channels, & More

YouTube TV had a busy 2018 adding more channels and a new higher price. Now what is YouTube TV up to in 2019?

YouTube TV has been tight-lipped about what they are working on, but there are rumors. So, lets look at the rumors.

#1 Amazon

Not that long ago Google pulled their YouTube support from Amazon products like the Echo Show and, more importantly, the Fire TV. This means YouTube TV has no official support for YouTube TV. Reports are that Google and Amazon have been in on and off talks about Fire TV support. Hopefully, this fight will soon end and YouTube TV will come to Amazon.

#2 New Markets

YouTube TV is now in most areas; however, it is still not available everywhere. Reports are out that Google is still working to expand YouTube TV. Keep an eye out for YouTube TV to roll out to new markets in 2019. Hopefully by the end of 2019 YouTube TV will be available nationwide.

#3 Channels

Look for YouTube TV to move some channels around in 2019. It is likely that some channels will be dropped from YouTube TV, but also look for some to be added. All reports point to Google looking into adding more sports channels, but nothing is confirmed right now.

#4 Add-Ons

YouTube TV has had very limited add-ons available. Keep an eye out for YouTube TV to launch add-ons—for example, a sports add-on or a family add-on—allowing you to get even more channels with YouTube TV.

#5 4K Streaming

Right now, everyone is pushing for 4K streaming. In 2018, YouTube TV rolled out 60 FPS on all their channels. Now look for 4K to be the next big thing YouTube TV jumps in too.
