The 5.1 Update Starts Rolling Out to Nvidia Shield Owners

Nvidia has been hard at work on its streaming media player the Nvidia Shield. Many have considered this to be the flagship streaming media player for the Google Android TV OS.

Back in January 2017 at CES Nvidia announced the second generation of the Shield, which will be smaller with a greatly improved controller and, more importantly, many OS upgrades including the addition of the Amazon Video app.

Now that Nvidia has the number 2 streaming video service in the United States the Shield is a player that cord cutters can consider.

Nvidia is continuing to update the OS with the recent 5.1 update.
