For the 2025 edition of the WNBA All-Star Game in Naptown, the league has modified the rules and added entertainment flair:
- A special 4‑point shot from beyond the arc
- A 20‑second shot clock, speeding up possessions
- Hockey‑style substitutions during in‑play transitions
- No free throws except in the final two minutes or overtime, so if a player is fouled earlier, the points are automatically awarded
