AT&T went on to say they plan to use fixed wireless Internet services to connect an additional 1.1 million locations by the end of 2020. AT&T says many of these customers are getting access to high-speed Internet for the first time.
Right now this fixed wireless Internet service from AT&T is available to residents and businesses in parts of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
While Internet speeds of 10 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up may not seem great to many, for others this is the first time they have had options other than dialup or limited satellite Internet. 10 Mbps down is also enough to stream. (When I cut the cord we only had 10 Mbps down DSL.)
