Note: This is a sponsored post for Hulu. However, all opinions are our own. We love a good list.
1. Brooklyn Nine-Nine – An ensemble comedy about a talented-but-carefree detective, a by-the-book police captain and their precinct colleagues. While based in the workplace, the series is not really about the job – it’s about the men and women behind the badge.
If you’re looking for a series that will make you laugh, with characters you’ll get to know and love, and with plenty of episodes to keep you occupied for days, this is the one.
2. Little Fires Everywhere – Starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, Little Fires Everywhere follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives.
This original series, based on 2017 bestselling book by Celeste Ng, just wrapped up its first season, so it’s the perfect time to settle in and watch the story unfold.
3. American Horror Story – American Horror Story is an anthology horror drama series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
Get lost in the twisted storylines of this thriller. Whether it’s in the Murderhouse, the Freak Show, or the Apocalypse, you’ll see plenty of familiar faces throughout the series, including Lady Gaga, Jessica Lange, and Kathy Bates. You’ll find all nine seasons streaming on Hulu.
4. Twin Peaks – The sensational murder of the high school homecoming queen strips the veneer of respectable gentility from the picturesque rural community of Twin Peaks to expose the seething undercurrents of illicit passion, greed, jealously and intrigue. FBI agent Dale Cooper and Sheriff Harry S Truman join forces to investigate the crime and discover a town full of secrets.
While we’re on the topic of murder and mystery, let’s take it back to 1990. Hulu has both seasons of Twin Peaks, so we can all get back to solving the mystery of who killed Laura Palmer.
At a time when many of us are at home, scraping together ingredients from the pantry and fridge to put meals together, Chopped serves as entertainment and inspiration.
While we patiently wait for Disney+ to get back to production on their new Marvel shows, Runaways can fill the gap.
Another fun, easy to binge comedy, Superstore is full of oddball employees and hilarious glimpses of discount store shoppers in the fictional Cloud 9 store. Warning: this may hit too close to home for current and former retail employees.
True crime fans should give this docuseries a watch. In the four episodes, you’ll follow Gary L. Stewart’s search for the truth about his biological father. The story he uncovers along the way is full of twists, turns, and questions.
Bring on the nostalgia with Kevin, Winnie, Paul, and the crew. Hulu is known for current seasons of shows and for their original content, but you can also find some ‘classic’ series from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s like Cheers, I Love Lucy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and Taxi, just to name a few.
It’s the most fun you’ll have while watching a reality competition show, and it might inspire you to grab some blocks and get building on your own. The full season is streaming now on Hulu.
