MTV Classic is a new channel that will bring classic 1980s and 1990s MTV to your house. Classic MTV Shows, including “Daria,” “Beavis & Butt-head,” “Aeon Flux,” “Run’s House,” “Pimp My Ride,” “Cribs,” “Jackass,” “Punk’d,” “Wonder Showzen,” and “Clone High,” will be aired on MTV.
The prime-time block will focus on animated fare including “Daria,” “Beavis & Butt-head,” and “Aeon Flux.” MTV Hour One will also air on MTV’s Facebook page via Facebook Live.
Additional “from the vault” blocks will air Mondays–Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., with series, such as “Run’s House,” “Pimp My Ride,” “Cribs,” “Jackass,” “Punk’d,” “Wonder Showzen,” and “Clone High.”
“From ‘Beavis & Butt-head’ to ‘Laguna Beach,’ MTV’s programming vault is a music and pop culture goldmine with universal resonance,” MTV President Sean Atkins said. “MTV Classic gives audiences a modern and artful home for classic MTV programming and alongside MTV, MTV2, MTV Live and mtvU rounds out a diverse portfolio with music and youth culture at its core.”
On weekends, MTV Classic will offer full season marathons of “The Real World,” “Laguna Beach,” “Road Rules,” and more.
MTV Classic will replace VH1 Classic in the PlayStation Vue lineup starting August 1 and will require the $44.99 PlayStation Vue package.
