Many former PlayStation Vue subscribers have been looking at YouTube TV, but the number one question we have been getting is will YouTube TV add the NFL Network.

So, is the NFL Network coming to YouTube TV?

Sadly, YouTube TV and the NFL Network have not announced any plans to bring the NFL Network to YouTube TV. The good news though is there are hints that the NFL and Google are in talks. For now, though you will need Sling TV, Vidgo, or fuboTV if you want the NFL Network.

A few weeks ago, YouTube’s head of product was seen sitting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at the Minnesota Vikings vs San Francisco 49ers game.

This new and suddenly increasing relationship has raised speculation and rumors that YouTube TV is aggressively trying to reach a deal with the NFL for rights to NFL games both in the United States with the upcoming NFL Sunday Ticket talks but also around the world through its traditional YouTube service. A part of these rights would also include the NFL Network.

The NFL has recently made it clear that when they reach a new contract for the NFL Sunday Ticket, they want it to be more open than the current DIRECTV deal. What that means is unknown, but some reports have the NFL looking at a streaming service like YouTube TV or Amazon. Other reports have the NFL looking at making the NFL Sunday Ticket open to multiple services and no longer exclusive to one like its current DIRECTV contract.

With the 2020 NFL season months away YouTube TV has some time to reach a deal but for now YouTube TV subscribers will have to wait and see if Google’s talks are successful.

You can also watch the NFL on NFL Game Pass.
